Dial Remote Access Server (RAS)

Replaces End of Life (EoL) dial-up Remote Access Servers (RAS) such as the AS5350, AS5400, AS5300 and Max TNT to maintain dial-up modem service over PRI (E1 or T1). In addition, the RAS supports SIP trunk access using a unique algorithm that eliminates failed calls caused by TDM interfaces not being synchronised. Support for 10+ years is possible since it is a pure software implementation and does not use ageing modem chipsets or DSPs.

AS5300/AS5400/MAXTNT Dial-up RAS Replacement

4-16 PRI ports, DIAL UP RAS, AS5350, MAX TNT REPLACEMENT, PRI OR SIP TRUNK ACCESS, WIDE RANGE OF MODEMS FROM ISDN TO V.90 IN PPP, TRANSPARENT AND L2TP MODES.

HOW THE SOLUTION WORKS

The Virtual Access IP RAS is a new generation system that comes with a commitment to long term support. It is based on Telco-class MicroTCA architecture and uses the latest distributed processing techniques. The modems are soft, running in general purpose processors, and do not depend on specialised hardware that may be at risk of obsolescence. The IP RAS supports all common modem standards and can be simply scaled by adding new modem and PRI processing cards.

SOFTWARE/HARDWARE

  • Supports all common PSTN modem modulations
  • GbE SIP trunk port
  • 4 to 16 PRI ports
  • Dynamic detection of analogue or digital calls
  • Modular plug and play architecture for online expansion
  • Channelised E1, T1 or J1 connectivity for ISDN PRI
  • G.711 voice band data support
  • External RADIUS support
  • L2TP or ascend ATMP (RFC2107) tunnelling support
  • Replace existing equipment with like-for-like using the IP network for access instead of the PRI network
  • Replace ISDN PRI lines with SIP trunks
  • 2U Rack-mounted telco-class Micro-TCA chassis
