ISDN to IP Migration

Virtual Access ISDN to IP migration products convert ISDN to IP without losing ISDN clock synchronisation. This means that ISDN services can run transparently over an IP network unlike most conversion devices which are suitable for voice or packet data only. This is achieved using the adjustable clock and fast sync capability of Virtual Access ISDN BRI and PRI products.

HOW THE SOLUTION WORKS
Virtual Access GW6610-BRI or GW7610-PRI routers replicate ISDN interfaces and convert ISDN traffic to IP. A GW6610-BRI is used if there is a BRI interface or a GW7610-PRI if there is a PRI interface. There is no requirement for an ISDN network, but the customer retains their ISDN services.

The Virtual Access ISDN migration router provides an adaptive clock and fast synchronisation algorithm so that ISDN service can be maintained transparently over IP. This is different to most conversion devices which convert ISDN voice to IP, but have no way to adjust the clock and provide clock synchronisation as on the ISDN network. In addition, many devices that rely on ISDN have difficulty in adjusting their clocks, so the Virtual Access products have a built in fast sync capability that overcomes this problem.

The Virtual Access GW6610 has an ADSL interface and an option for LTE. The Virtual Access devices supports SIP signalling for connection to a SIP trunking service.
