Irish Technology Company Virtual Access Announces Expansion Plans

01/11/12, Dublin, Ireland.  Irish company Virtual Access announces plans for expansion into North America and Middle East, doubling the size of its operation with up to twenty new jobs.

Virtual Access provides router and legacy migration solutions to the technology sector and already counts market leaders BT, Alcatel, Deutsche Telecom, and NTT Communications among their customers. With over 20 currently employed in Ireland and a newly opened centre of operation in the US, this move will position Virtual Access as a key service provider to the North American market, and facilitate their penetration in the Middle East.

With support from Enterprise Ireland, Virtual Access has developed an international market strategy that will not only strengthen and drive business opportunities in both markets, but also in Asia. They have recognized the shift into digital, and this will be their primary marketing focus for the next three to five years.

Henry Brankin, CEO, says: ‘Having already made an impression on the European and Asian markets we are very excited about developing international sales in North America and the Middle East. We are targeting a niche, dispersed market, so our website combined with digital marketing is an ideal channel for us.  To acquire major new business in both the US and Middle Eastern telecoms markets we have invested in the proven approach of research, planning, and online development.’

Virtual Access specialises in the development and manufacture of equipment for telecommunication service providers, and has been in operation since 1996.

Virtual Access has developed specialist skills in the migration of legacy network services from the older TDM based infrastructures onto modem IP and Ethernet networks. Transaction networks that have used X.25 packet switching are now principally using IP and Virtual Access is the global market leader in this area.
