Cost-effective business grade routers for:
Overview
Based on the very latest VDSL, ADSL, 3G and LTE technology, Virtual Access GW6650V Series routers address the needs of Point of Sale (PoS), retail branch office, security monitoring and other key business applications demanding managed connectivity that is cost-effective, high performance and resilient to network outage or last minute circuit failure.
Designed for managed network providers, GW6650V Series routers provide secure WAN connectivity for internet and private networking environments over both DSL and 3G or LTE broadband paths.
Automatic Failover
The GW6650V Series router provides optional automatic failover from fixed to wireless circuits ensuring business connectivity through network or last mile circuit outages, whilst email alerting and auto-failback confirm primary circuit restoration.
Four Port GigE Managed Switch
The four port GigE managed switch enables multiple devices to be connected with the ability to segment into separate LANs. Tagged 802.1q VLANs are also supported.
WAN Ethernet Port
A separate GigE Ethernet port is provided for WAN connection.
Optional 802.11n WiFi
The GW6650V optionally incorporates WiFi connectivity. It can be configured to operate in either access point or client mode.
SMS Messaging
Inbound and outbound SMS messages enhance the management capability of the device. For example, if all other WAN services are unavailable, commands can be sent to the router to perform diagnostics or even reset the unit.
Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
To achieve best-in-class cybersecurity, the GW6650V Series router is equiped with a TPM chip that keeps cryptograhic keys secure and protects the device from cloning.
Secure Boot
Secure Boot ensures that the unit executes only software that is signed and trusted by Virtual Access.
Automated Router Provisioning
GW6600V Series routers offer simplicity when it comes to service provisioning. Activator is an activation and provisioning system that is integrated in all Virtual Access routers. It is designed to streamline the rollout and maintenance of managed and semi-managed network services. Once routers are deployed, Activator allows a Virtual Access customer’s support team to proactively monitor their end customer’s networks.
