Telecommunications Production Support Engineer
Description
Currently we have a vacancy for the role of Production Support Engineer.
The successful candidates will work in our Dublin production environment and be part of a team responsible for development and manufacture of Virtual Access products.

Role and Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to the Virtual Access production team.
- Maintaining and improving the production test station hardware and processes.
- Setting up test stations for the production team.
- Developing and documenting test procedures for all products.
- Working with the product design team to determine product testing parameters.
- Introducing new products into the test environment.
- Writing test plans and creating test cases for different products.
- Developing and running automated test scripts.
- Improving the efficiency of the test process.
- Analyzing current test technologies used within the company and developing steps and processes to improve testing procedures.
- Documenting and monitoring test outcomes and establish corrective actions to remedy problems.
- Ensuring all tests and test procedures meet the company testing standards.
- Performing root cause analysis for product test failures.
- Assisting with one-off and small custom builds.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of embedded systems and microprocessors.
- Good debug and repair skills
- Knowledge of Linux would be advantageous
- Interest in and broad knowledge of telecommunications
- Ability to work independently and to multitask.
- Excellent communications (both verbal and written)
- 2-3 years’ experience
Educational Requirements:
- A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related subject is required.
