Currently we have a vacancy for the role of Production Support Engineer.

The successful candidates will work in our Dublin production environment and be part of a team responsible for development and manufacture of Virtual Access products.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to the Virtual Access production team.
  • Maintaining and improving the production test station hardware and processes.
  • Setting up test stations for the production team.
  • Developing and documenting test procedures for all products.
  • Working with the product design team to determine product testing parameters.
  • Introducing new products into the test environment.
  • Writing test plans and creating test cases for different products.
  • Developing and running automated test scripts.
  • Improving the efficiency of the test process.
  • Analyzing current test technologies used within the company and developing steps and processes to improve testing procedures.
  • Documenting and monitoring test outcomes and establish corrective actions to remedy problems.
  • Ensuring all tests and test procedures meet the company testing standards.
  • Performing root cause analysis for product test failures.
  • Assisting with one-off and small custom builds.

 

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of embedded systems and microprocessors.
  • Good debug and repair skills
  • Knowledge of Linux would be advantageous
  • Interest in and broad knowledge of telecommunications
  • Ability to work independently and to multitask.
  • Excellent communications (both verbal and written)
  • 2-3 years’ experience

Educational Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related subject is required.
