Virtual Access is continuing to grow, and we are now looking for energetic and talented people to join an already fantastic team in our Network Operations.
Are you our new Network Operations and Support Engineer?
In this role as Network Operations and Support Engineer you will be part of our network operations and support department, running a managed broadband router service for Systems Integrators, Internet Service Providers, Utility Providers and Telcos
- Provide services which include IPsec VPNs, Firewalls and general access routing
- Day to day operations includes service provisioning, monitoring, configuration changes, troubleshooting and Level 3 technical support
- You will be liaising with Telcos and ISPs in provisioning of broadband services
- You will be involved in system testing, working with our R&D department, to become familiar with the Virtual Access products
- Provisioning services through Activator, our provisioning and configuration management database system
- Some on-call support at weekends and outside of business hours will be required, for which an allowance will be made
Requirements
So, who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is an excellent team player with lots of initiative!
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of the IP stack and the OSI layers
- Good verbal and written communications skills, as you will be liaising with many customer and service provider groups
- 3rd Level qualification in computer science, engineering or equivalent
- Some experience in managing telecommunications networks is preferred
Meritorious:
- Cyber-security qualifications would be advantageous
- Cisco CCNA qualification or higher is an advantage

Salary: €34,000 to €45,000 PA depending on experience
